Individuals: You can promote your virtual tip jar by sharing it on social media, displaying it on live-stream performances, or dropping a printout to your customers’ delivery.

Businesses: You can promote your virtual tip jar by displaying it on your storefront so that your customers walking by can support you. You can also share it on social media, as well as place it next to your register.

Your QR code does not expire. You can use the same QR code forever.

Earnings dashboards are coming soon, in the meantime you can email us at contact@etip.io to know how much money you have in your account. Heads up, you’ll always receive a text message every time someone tips you!

We’re working to get the money to you immediately - however, currently we will send you a direct deposit on the 15th and 30th of the month. In case you require the funds immediately, please email contact@etip.io and we will send them right away!

We will reach out to you to ask for your bank details as soon as you receive your first tip or payment. Following that, you will receive a direct deposit to your account.

Your customers can tip or pay you by simply:

  1. Opening their phone’s camera
  2. Pointing at the QR code
  3. Tapping the popup that appears at the top of the screen

You can download the relevant virtual tip jar image from your virtual tip jar resource center, and attach the image to your post on your desired social media platform. Please see our video guides to learn more!

Individuals: We’re aiming to make our tip jar completely free - unfortunately, when tips are paid with credit cards, there are credit card processing fees (2.9% + 30c). Additionally, there is a service charge of $10/month, only if you earn over $20 in a month.

Businesses: We only take credit card processing fees (3.9% + $0.30 per transaction). The rest is yours to keep!

Yes, we can mail you a check. You can email us at contact@etip.io and we can adjust your preference.

For your safety and security, we only ask for your bank details once you receive your first tip.

Upon receiving your first tip, we will reach out to you to ask for your bank details.

Your customers do not need any app. They simply need to:

  1. Open their phone’s camera
  2. Point at the QR code
  3. Tap the popup that appears at the top of the screen

You will receive a text message with the amount every time someone tips or pays you.

A customer can only see your name and profile picture as they tip or pay you.
